Top Tips for Scoring the Best Travel Tuesday Deals
Travel Tuesday is almost here and you are hoping to score the most incredible deal for your next vacation? Whether a river cruise, theme park, all-inclusive, ocean cruise, expedition tour, or finally getting to check off an item from your bucket list, the deals will be plentiful. Now the deals may look appealing, but are they really worth it? Here are my tips for finding and scoring a travel deal that you will actually love!
1️⃣ Know your must-haves before the deals drop.
It’s so easy to get caught up in the flashy discounts, but knowing your ideal dates, destination(s), and resort preferences helps you snag something that actually fits your family. If you don’t know what that is, chat with your travel advisor. Tell them your budget, your needs, your wishes, etc. They can help guide you on what to look for (or just do it for you!)
2️⃣ Be flexible if you can!
If your dates or airports have wiggle room, Travel Tuesday can work magic for your budget. Flexibility = options, and options = bigger savings. For example, I live outside of Philadelphia. PHL (Philadelphia International Airport) is my preferred airport as it’s only 50 minutes away however, I’m willing to drive up to two hours away for a better flight schedule or price. You can catch me at EWR (Newark International Airport) this Thursday because the “Flight was Right”. See what I did there 😉.
3️⃣ Be Prepared to Act Fast.
Many Travel Tuesday deals have limited rooms, cabins, or sailings. When we see a match for your family, it’s usually a “go!” moment. Don’t worry, I’ll help you spot the real value so you never feel rushed or unsure. Let me (or your travel advisor) know what the best way to communicate with you is when we need to move quickly. Text? Great! Call? Ok! Email? You got it!
4️⃣ Watch out for blackout dates and restrictions.
Some offers look incredible until the fine print kicks in. I always read the terms for you and make sure the deal works for your actual trip vision. Many times, the “deal”, isn’t really a deal at all due to all of the restrictions and you’re better off spending a bit more on a “non-deal” for more value. Read all the fine print!
5️⃣ Have your traveler info ready.
Names, birthdays, travel documents (like passports): having everything prepped means we can secure your offer instantly before it disappears.
6️⃣ Focus on overall value, not just the dollar amount.
A tiny discount on the wrong resort isn’t a deal. But a great promo at a place your family will love? That’s gold. I’ll help you sort the “meh” from the magic. You are spending your hard-earned money, let’s be sure every dollar counts!
7️⃣ Don’t forget travel insurance.
It’s still one of the smartest additions to any trip, even on sale days. Travel insurance is something that get’s paid in full and is non refundable. While you can wait to add travel insurance until a later date, waiting means sacrificing coverage.
